Litter Upkeepers

Flexible outdoor opportunities, on a schedule that fits your life

A Litter Upkeeper keeps accepted commercial properties picked up on a recurring schedule. You walk the service area, collect litter, take before and after photos, and complete the visit in the app. Litter Upkeep holds the client agreement and handles billing, administration and quality documentation.

What a Litter Upkeeper does

What the work actually looks like

Work on your own

You work your accepted properties on your own — no crew, no supervisor over your shoulder.

Permitted service windows

A property may need service three times a week within a stated window. You choose when inside that window.

Straightforward assignments

The same properties on a repeating schedule. You learn the site and get efficient.

Simple technology

The app walks you through each visit: start, photos, upkeep, photos, complete.

Light, steady activity

Walking an agreed service area and collecting litter — no hauling, no heavy equipment.

Limited customer interaction

Communication runs through Litter Upkeep, not directly between you and the client.

Pay is set per opportunity and shown before you accept work. We do not publish earnings estimates.

How it works

From referral to your first service visit

  1. Step 1

    Referral or apply

Apply directly, or come to us through a Community Partner who refers and vouches for you.

  2. Step 2

    Review

We review your application, your area, and any referral information, and follow up if we need more.

  3. Step 3

    Onboarding

Agreements, policies, service standards, and background screening through a compliant provider.

  4. Step 4

    Approved Upkeeper

Your service area and availability are recorded so we can match you to eligible opportunities.

  5. Step 5

    Accept opportunities

You choose which eligible Litter Upkeeper Opportunities to accept as they open near you.

  6. Step 6

    Service and documentation

Complete guided visits in the app: walkthrough, photos, upkeep, photos, report, then your earnings record.

Who may be a good fit

Built with flexible earners in mind

Litter Upkeep is intentionally building a network that welcomes retirees, older adults and seniors who want flexible ways to earn supplemental income, stay active, spend time outdoors and contribute to their communities. The opportunity is not limited to any one group — other qualified applicants may participate under our eligibility standards.

We make no health or medical claims about this work. Every Litter Upkeeper should decide for themselves whether the physical activity involved is appropriate for them.

Referrals and vouching

Many Litter Upkeepers come to us through a Community Partner — a senior living community, senior center, church or community organization that knows them and vouches for their reliability. A referral does not replace our application, onboarding or screening.

Opportunities

Choose the opportunities that work for you

Search Litter Upkeeper Opportunities

Opportunities list a general service area, ZIP code, property type, frequency, estimated duration and the permitted service window. Approved Litter Upkeepers accept the eligible opportunities they want. If nothing is posted near you yet, tell us where you would serve — we build Upkeeper capacity in an area before pursuing property agreements there.
